Geri-Skiing

Today at the VA:

I was walking down the halls and an elderly woman was driving her Electric Scooter (or whatever)....tied to the back of the Electric Scooter was an 8 to 10 foot long piece of rope with a handle at the end...an elderly man (presumably the husband) was in a regular wheelchair holding on to this handle....HA!

The part that kills me was that he was slowly drifting to the left....as if he was water skiing and was trying to "Crack the Whip" to increase his speed and pass her right up!

Today, Geri-Skiing was born! :)

Sulfur and bright colors help you get rid of the trash that your body makes when t's making energy and keeping you alive. This is why we want you to have a plate of green leaves every day, some sulfur vegetables daily (cabbage, broccoli, radishes, onions, mushrooms) and colorful fruits and vegetables (beets, berries, carrots, oranges, grapes, etc). I also recommend plenty of iodine and other trace minerals. You can get these from seafood (shrimp, etc), sea vegetables (dried kelp) iodized salt or iodized sea salt.

Letter to patient...

"Let me know if you get sick from the flu shot. I STILL say it's not a result from the shot, but I'm as good as my word and will treat you to Outback if you do get sick... a deal's a deal. Of course, with you cholesterol, I hope you don't mind watching me eat a plateful of ribs while you nibble away at your salad.

It was nice meeting you today. If you have any question, feel free to give me a call."

In a letter to a patient.

"Some of your labs are okay, some are a bit off. First, your cholesterol is looking really good. I'm happy to see that the medicines and your work at home are starting to pay off.

Your A1c is still pending. Your VA Primary Care Provider forgot to order it so he had to add it later. Man, that guy's an idiot. I'll ask my case manager to let you know after I see the results. Oh, wait... I'm your Primary Care Provider. Dang!"
